Multi-Day sightseeing experience

Philadelphia: Birthplace of America

About This Tour

Come with us to the birthplace of America, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and celebrate America’s 250th anniversary as a nation! On our first day, we will receive a guided trolley tour of Valley Forge National Historical Park, where the fortunes of the Continental Army and our nation changed in the Revolutionary War. That evening, we will head over to Angelo’s for Philadelphia’s highest-rated cheesesteak sandwich! Our entire second day will be spent on the Independence Mall, “America’s most historic square mile”, where we will visit the inspiring National Constitution Center, stand in the very room where the Declaration of Independence was signed, and explore the Museum of the American Revolution. We will cap off this wonderful day with an evening patriotic concert right on the Mall by the United States Army Field Band & Soldiers’ Chorus. On our third day, we will go to the Salute to Independence Semiquincentennial Parade right in the heart of Philadelphia, before we stop at a few famous Philadelphia sites and dine at the jaw-dropping Reading Terminal Market. Join us in Philadelphia for a once-in-a-generation celebration of America’s 250th birthday!

Excellent tour, guide, and education! This was a great experience. We were able to see a lot of RI, learn about the history, culture and landscape while relaxing and letting someone else drive. Our guide was knowledgeable and personable. There were many stops on the way to take photos and tour around, so it never felt like we missed anything. I highly recommend this tour!

Thank you Ted for a top notch tour of all things Rhode Island today specifically in the Rhode Island in a day tour. We visited several towns and all were lovely. I also appreciated the wealth of history that Ted told all of us about on the tour. He made this tour very enjoyable and also has a nice sense of humor. I would recommend this tour or any of the other tours of Explore Rhode Island. Thank you so much!
