Christmas by Candlelight at Old Sturbridge Village + Fireplace Feast at Salem Cross Inn

About This Tour
Step back in time to a warm place filled with New England holiday traditions, live musical performances, barn dances, storytelling, horse-drawn wagon rides, roaring bonfires, and more! Set in the 19th century, this rural New England village recreates life as it was lived in the olden days. Considered one of the top places to experience the joy of Christmas in the United States, you will love this old-time Christmas celebration! Then, we will be off to a special dining event at the Salem Cross Inn known as the Fireplace Feast! This one-of-a-kind dining experience is prepared on the open hearth of a great fieldstone fireplace. Here, you will relax by the fire as dinner is prepared for you in colonial style, including clam chowder, prime rib, and New England’s best apple pie. While dinner is being prepared, you can enjoy a horse drawn wagon or sleigh ride through the valley on the Inn’s pristine 600 acres, and shake off the chill with a warm mulled cider upon your return. This trip may become your favorite Christmas tradition!
